Kevin Hamilton


Kevin is co-founder of Southwest Soul Circuit and GYDP who has worked with educating youth since 1986. An accomplished sing and musician, Kevin uses his musical gift to uplift, inspire and entertain people of all ages throughout the Southwestern region of the country. Kevin received his formal education from the Dallas School for the Performing Arts, Tennessee State University, and the University of Arizona as a vocal performance major.

Tanishia Hamilton


GYDP co-founder and Chief Operating Officer for Southwest Soul Circuit, Tanishia is a gifted singer and has a warm spirit. Tanishia is a highly gifted actress and performer who started her career in business as a strategic planner for an aerospace defense contractor. She received her education at Southern University in Baton Rogue and received her MBA from Morgan State University.

Delania Cavaletto - Instructor/Educational Advisor


Delania’s contribution to GYDP started with her priceless donation of children’s musical instruments to our JAMboree Studio program. Delania is an accomplished pianist and received her degree in music from the University of Arizona. Curently, Delania teaches elementary school, plays piano for a local children’s theatre company, performs live music throughout Southern Arizona, and is a deliteful instructor/Advisor for JAMboree Studio. Her open and free spirit brings out the best in kids.

Cystal Rose Stark - Music Collaborator


Crystal Rose Stark is a rising pop/R&B singer who brings a positive message to today’s music scene. Based on her church-singing roots, she knew that she wanted to pursue a full-time career in music…. Crystal added AMERICAN IDOL FINALIST to her list of accomplishments when she tried out for the show during season 5… Crystal entered the gospel music competition, “Music in the Rockies” where she won first place “Best of Show” and was asked to perform at Disney World’s “Night of Joy”

Quianna “Q” Smith - Music Collaborator


Ms. Q. Smith is an accomplished Broadway actress and author. A graduate of Ithica College with a BFA in Music Theatre, Q has performed in some of the most successful shows ever; Les Miserables (2006 revival), “Fame” on 42nd Street, and Soloist for the 2008 Presidential Inaugural Service. Q has been a longtime advisor for GYDP and will facilitate our music theatre workshop in the spring of 2012 as a cast member with the Disney touring show “Mary Poppins” along with fellow cast members.

Hon. Judge Ronald A. Wilson - Law & Civics Program Advisor


On March 3, 2002 at the age of 33, Judge Wilson was invested as the Presiding Judge for the City of South Tucson, Arizona. This appointment was historically significant.  Judge Wilson became the first full time Judge for the City of South Tucson, the youngest African American Chief Magistrate in Arizona and the first African American Chief Magistrate in Pima County, Arizona. Judge Wilson received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University in 1992 and his Jurist Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in 1995. He is a member of the American Bar Association.


Judge Wilson provides advisement and direction for Law and Civics component in our program “The Launch Pad”. This program teaches 10-12 year old youth various career fields. Watch Judge Wilson’s interview on Arizona Illustrated.

Deanna Morgan - Journalism Program Advisor


As a news industry veteran, her compelling anchoring, reporting, and storytelling have proven to increase station ratings. As a bilingual journalist she is able to gain trusted sources and enterprise exclusive story ideas. Deanna lends her professional experience to the Journalism component to our career learning program “The Launch Pad.

Olympian LaTanya Sheffield - Health & Nutrition Program Advisor


Former American Record Holder, LaTanya is the “REAL DEAL”. LaTanya is a two-time Gold Medalist and a current coach with US Track and Field. Founder of Sport Extraveganza, LaTanya promotes the development of life skills through sports and fights childhood obesity.

Leondra Price - Business & Finance Program Advisor


Leondra comes to GYDP after a long career with the City of Tucson and will help our youth learn the basics in business and financial literacy through our “Launch Pad” program.
